How Clean Is Your House?

How clean is your house and how safe are you?

Did you know??

  • 81,000 is the number of registered chemicals, only a fraction of which have been tested of human help concerns.
  • 9 Out of 10 Poison exposures are suspected to be from household products
  • The Consumer Product Safety Commision reported that 150 common household chemicals have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological abnormalitites.
  • When people think about product poisoning they think about injesting a chemical ---that is not the case. It can be being exposed, smelling that chemical or it touching your skin.
  • Every 13 seconds a family calls the poison control regarding an exposure to a poison at home.
  • Some of those are deadly!!

DO NOT ASSUME BECAUSE A PRODUCT IS ON THE MARKET IT IS SAFE!!!

Have you ever read the back of your cleaning bottle. I sure hadn't until I started hearing about all of this stuff. I started looking for ways to help my son with his allergies. I don't want him to grow up being "that kid". In that search I found out it wasn't only my son I needed to be concerned about it. It was my whole family!!

I decided I had to do something to change that in my house. I started using safer products and you want to know the result already?? Within 2 weeks my son who takes 3 allergy medicines a day already doesn't need 1. The most powerful 1 too. Now that doesn't mean I he doesn't need them when he goes somewhere else. If we could all understand this think about what a nicer world it would be for our kids. I have 2 set of grandparents who have switched now and an uncle already.

As my 11 year old would say. Who creates change in this world? YOU!!!!

It's time we as a country start thinking about our own health and our children's. Even your animals.

Take the time tonight and read the warnings on your cleaners.
